Arsenal have been offered the services of Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to reports from the Metro
Following their difficult start to the Premier League campaign, Arsenal are currently in the market to sign a new striker and Real Madrid star Karim Benzema is said to be the main target for the Gunners.
While Arsenal certainly do hold an interest in signing Benzema, Madrid are not keen on parting with the Frenchman as they are currently short on strikers and it seems that the Gunners will have to focus on transfer targets elsewhere.
With less than two week remaining before the end of the summer transfer window, Arsenal must now hasten their pursuit for a new front man and a host of names continue to be linked with the Gunners over the last few days.
Now in fresh links, it can be revealed that Arsenal could be making a move for Argentine international Ezequiel Lavezzi as an alternative to Benzema.
Lavezzi is believed to be surplus to requirements at Paris Saint-Germain at the moment and according to reports from the Metro, Arsenal have been offered the services of the 30-year old.
Lavezzi may not be Arsenal’s top target but he is said to be available for just £8.5million and signing a quality player for such a bargain amount could turn out to be a decent deal for the Gunners to reinforce their attacking lineup.
