Picture confirmation: Manchester United set to complete transfer

Manchester United are on the verge of offloading Angel Di Maria after he was spotted arriving at Doha to complete his move to Paris Saint Germain

Following his poor debut season at Manchester United, Angel Di Maria has made no secret of his desire to leave Old Trafford and his biggest indication was to defy manager Louis van Gaal’s orders by refusing to report to pre-season training at the United States following his participation in the Copa America.

Di Maria’s actions have forced United into considering selling the winger this summer and French giants Paris Saint-Germain are keen on taking the Argentine international on board.

Di Maria arrives at Qatar

There has been a long round of negotiations between United and PSG over the fee for Di Maria but it has emerged in recent times that the two parties have finally been able to agree on a fee of around £44.5million for the 27-year old.

Now to all but confirm his exit from United, Di Maria has now been spotted at Doha, Qatar. The winger flew from Argentina via Sao Paulo to Doha and is scheduled to undergo a medical at the Aspire centre on Monday.

Di Maria is believed to have agreed a four year £170,000-per week deal with PSG and the winger is now set to travel to Paris once his obligations in Qatar have been met.

  1. LVG is a good manager but he is not patient and doesn’t have faith in his players. Some players like Di Maria would need more than just one reason to be judged and shown an exit. Otherwise I wish Man Utd the best.

  2. i never thought that the saga of angel di maria would have been this long for we all knows his little or no impact towards man u in the past year. there are other loop holes to fill which am sure could yield a better result. with likes of pedro as a winger zlantan or cavani as complete attacker and either stone or otamendi as brave, skillful and intelligent defender. am sure with such a team with the coach we have, we can archieve a better result

  3. Thanks to lvg for offloading de Maria, pls nd pls we still need Pedro or bale at dat wing nd a complete central back so dat we have all to take nd win the epl

  4. LVG we need central back and standard 9 and man u should try and sign Pedro or gaitan then I wish di maria best of luck for is career in PSG because dimaria can not play in Egland

  5. Why is manunited not signing a central defender. If you access the last 2 year’s performance. A central defender was most needed. We had an opportunity to sign Nicholas Otamendi but Van Gaal was not interested. I can still see United fighting for 4th and 5th position with Liverpool unless they tighten up the defence.

  6. LVG must try harder to get an expirienced centre back, and a goal poacher that will give us over 25 goals.yes we have good defensive midfielders, but without an expirienced centre back we will have problems at the back

  7. I luv Angel, bt I hate his disloyalty to my club. PSG is nothing more than an inferior club to Man Utd. I won’t miss him coz he left no mark on ze Old Trafford soil. Or perhaps, he may be running away from ze fierce competition in Old Trafford zis seazon. But one thing I am sure of zis seazon is; Herrera will be voted epl best midfielder of the year, and LvG shouldn’t try to keep him on ze bench. And I think he’ll best fit in ze 4-1-2-3 formation even if Pedro is in team. Jasper/Sergio/De Gea, Darmian, Blind, Rojo, Smalling/Jones/Garray, Schweinteiger/Carrick, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Depay, Mata/Pedro, Rooney.

  8. Man utd will not miss Di Maria because we didn’t really have him; he barely contributed to our top four finish all I can say is he only wants a bed of roses that is why he ran to man utd when James came in

    I wish him success @PSG

  9. If it were good for man utd could not sale de gea, now, due have not hard strong defender, they wait january.bt have better defence this summer just one center back who is strong.
