Liverpool are looking to continue their summer spree by making a move for United States Under-18 star Brooks Lennon

Liverpool have made quite the splash in the transfer market so far this summer by securing the services of James Milner, Danny Ings, Joe Gomez, Adam Bogdan and Roberto Firmino.

Another top quality player in the form of Nathaniel Clyne is also set to arrive at Anfield in the coming days and the Reds have certainly managed to assemble a very strong squad so far.

However Liverpool are not done as of yet and to continue their relentless pursuit to strengthen the squad, it has been reported that the Reds are on the verge of finalizing their 7th signing of the summer in the form of American wonderkid Brooks Lennon.

Rodgers planning his 7th summer signing

According to the Top Soccer Draw, Liverpool are set to complete the signing of Lennon following protracted negotiations and the young striker is expected to be formally announced as a player for the Premier League giants in the coming days.

Lennon has been training with Liverpool since 2013 and during his time away, the 17-year old has been using the facilities of the Development Academy at Real Salt Lake.

Lennon is not anticipated to have a problem with a British work permit as he holds an Irish passport and the transfer should be completed without any hiccups.

While Lennon is not expected to immediately make a mark in Liverpool’s first team this season, the young striker could well prove to be a big player for the Reds in the years to come.
