Real Madrid to allow two promising stars to leave

Martin Ødegaard and Marco Asensio are two players with a bright future in football. The former is only 16 years old and has already been compared to Lionel Messi, while the latter has garnered fame in Spain for being the model of talented player that the country appreciates so much. Both of them were signed by Real Madrid during the winter, but they should forget about playing with the first team next year.

Rafa Benítez has arrived and his philosophy is different from Carlo Ancelotti’s. For starters, he believes in meritocracy and he’s going to rotate a lot more often. It doesn’t seem like he wants to sign too many players, as he acts satisfied with what he has. However, just because he likes to keep all his men in form by trusting them often doesn’t mean he can give minutes to everyone.

Two youngsters like Marco and Martin still need constant pitch time in order to continue growing as a player and getting to know La Liga. They haven’t played much in the first division, and it’s a big jump from the Liga Adelante. Real need to win titles next year and Benítez will likely use members who are already established and experienced in the first team. Because of this, the boys’ chances of staying are slim.

Since there’s no rush because of their youth, a loan is the ideal thing for both of him. Their talented and attacking style would fit in best in clubs with that philosophy. Consequently, there are rumors that Villarreal, Málaga and Betis are some of the potential destinations for them. Although it’s unclear whether they will both be sent to the same team, it’s very likely that they are placed in that style of institution.

Ødegaard has already shown that he wants to play with the first team, as he trained with them constantly this season. In addition, he didn’t want to keep playing in Spain’s third division, so he’s going to fight during the preseason to convince Benítez.

Despite his wishes, it’s best for him and Marco to be more important elsewhere than being a bit important at Madrid. This tactic was successful with Carvajal and with Casemiro, so it’s something fans should look forward to.
