Terms Agreed! Liverpool set to complete the signing of £16million sensation

As Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool seek to improve the club this summer, it looks like they have been able to agree terms with one player who should help the team in midfield – according to reports.

That player is Inter Milan’s Mateo Kovacic. The Croatian midfielder is coming off a strong season in Italy where he contributed 5 goals and 3 assists in 41 total appearances for an Inter squad that finished 8th in Serie A.

The 21-year-old has all the skills to be able to succeed in the Premier League. He is a tall player at 5’11” and he uses his long legs to get past defenders in a hurry. He doesn’t just rely on his underrated physical strength to shrug off defenders, he also plays the game with an engine that refuses to quit.

He also possesses excellent dribbling skills that allows him to find his way through the opposing defense. If he is given any kind of space to pass, he also has the vision and the unselfishness to find his teammates in front of him. According to Squawka.com, he also totaled the fourth-most key passes in the Serie A with 59.

On Liverpool, Kovacic should be able to contribute in a variety of ways. Even though he is primarily a center midfielder, he is capable of playing higher up the field as a number 10 or even as a left winger.

That positional flexibility will allow Rodgers to find the best position within his chosen formation for Kovacic. He should work well with Philippe Coutinho as the primary creators for the team and if Daniel Sturridge returns to full health, we could see the return of an extremely powerful Liverpool attack.

  1. Kovacic is a good player who will certainly help our club very well with his experience but the issue is that rodgers is not the right person to remain in that seat anymore, even though Fsg gives more money than what they gave to him (rodgers) last transfer it’s sure that we will still be out of champions leaque because he is just an average manager, and the best thing could have been to send him (rodgers) packing and bring in Carlo Anceloti or at least Jurgen Klop these managers could have been better than leaving rodgers to manage our dear club again, and i see it as a sad moment for our club and the fans.
