Premier League giants Manchester United are planning to make a swoop for Real Madrid star Sami Khedira by offering him a whopping wage package – according to reports.
Khedira has already expressed his desire to leave Real Madrid when his contract at the club expires at the end of the current campaign and with such a top class player set to be available on a free transfer, a host of clubs have understandably expressed their interest in signing the German international.
A move back to Germany has been touted for Khedira as Schalke have already made their interest in the midfielder public but he is also said to be courting interest from a host of Premier League clubs and now according to reports, English giants Manchester United are planning a swoop for the 28-year old.
Reports from the Metro claim that Khedira is on the wish list for manager Louis van Gaal and in order to lure the midfielder to Old Trafford, the Red Devils are said to be looking to offer him a whopping wage package of around £200,000-per-week.
Offering such a large fee for a player who has been troubled by a host of injury problems certainly represents a risk for Manchester United but given the fact that Khedira will be available on a free transfer, he could certainly prove to be a risk worth taking for the Red Devils.
