Lille midfield star Idrissa Gueye issues a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester United
Manchester United have undergone a roller coaster campaign so far and even if they do end up finishing in one of the Champions League places at the end of the season, it is very likely that manager Louis van Gaal will be looking to reinforce his side during the upcoming summer transfer window.
While high profile names such as Paul Pogba, Mats Hummels and Arjen Robben have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye has also put himself in the frame for a potential switch to join the Premier League giants.
Gueye has impressed for French side Lille this season and it has been widely reported that the 25-year old will earn a move to one of the top leagues in Europe over the summer.
Arsenal were said to have been monitoring Gueye over the last few years but he has now gone on to state that he harbours dreams of playing for Manchester United instead.
Gueye revealed his admiration for United and added that a move to Old Trafford would be a dream come true for him.
As reported by the Metro, Gueye said, “Manchester United would be a dream. I’ve always supported them. I adore them.”
Gueye is most certainly not a name whom Manchester United fans would have been familiar with but at a reported £5million, the midfielder could well prove to be an astute acquisition.
