According to The Daily Star, it is being reported that Jose Mourinho is interested in managing Mario Balotelli once again. Mourinho managed him at Inter Milan, but is intrigued by the idea of bringing him back to the Premier League.

It is no secret that Chelsea’s forwards have struggled all year to find the back of the net on a consistent basis, and that they need to improve that area come the summer. Balotelli currently plays for AC Milan, a side struggling at the moment.

Balotelli is one of the most talented forwards in world soccer, but it has been his lack of maturity that has given managers headaches. If he was to make the move to Chelsea, it would improve the squad in an area that has been a weakness all season.

Balotelli is a clinical goal scorer, plus he brings outstanding footwork that could bode well in linking up with the likes of Hazard and Oscar. Eto’o and Torres seem to struggle some when they are isolated up top, but Balotelli would be able to do the job as an isolated center forward.

Balotelli would be able to hold up play and very much suit the counter attack style by Jose Mourinho. If there is anybody that can possibly get the best of Balotelli week in week out, I would put my money on Mourinho to be that man.

This article is from The Daily Star, which does have some potential to be truth, but I would rate it about a 5 out of 10 in the transfer rumour scale. Balotelli had been linked with a move to Chelsea in January, but nothing materialized.

Balotelli to Chelsea would be a great addition to the squad. Chelsea would probably be able to get him cheaper at the end of the season because Milan will not be in Europe next season. This potential move gets a 9 on the scale of improving Chelsea’s squad.

This transfer was talked about months ago, and at that point I was very skeptical. But now that Chelsea’s forwards have struggled all season and Balotelli seems somewhat unsettled in Italy, this move looks more likely. It is hard to predict anything involving Balotelli, but I think there is about a 70% chance this move could happen. Many teams are reluctant to bring Balotelli in because of his antics, but Mourinho knows he has talent and can do the job.
