Manchester United Star In Awe Of Toni Kroos

As many football followers already know, Rio Ferdinand is a player that is very active on social networks. The veteran of Manchester United has not spent much time on the pitch since the start of the season, but on twitter he is always ready to give a comment or to share a photo. For instance, here are some of his tweets during the game at Emirates Stadium which Arsenal lost to the reigning world and European champions, Bayern Munich.

About Arsenal’s performance during the game :

Arsenal missing Ramsey & Walcott today, so hard to go against Bayern. Hope my prediction is wrong though!

— Rio Ferdinand (@rioferdy5) February 19, 2014

What was missing for Bayern:

Bayern missing Riberys invention and pace here… — Rio Ferdinand (@rioferdy5) February 19, 2014

But, what was most obvious – his praise for the performance of German youngster and potential Manchester United transfer target in the summer, Toni Kroos :

Kroos is really putting on a clinic here….passing the ball crisply and with real intent to open up the opposition. Lovely to watch — Rio Ferdinand (@rioferdy5) February 19, 2014

Kroos is conducting this game nicely! A few lovely raking balls too

Kroos left foot looked hungry for that top corner !!

Let’s be honest – apart from Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, you don’t see so many words of admiration towards other top class players, like Rio is doing with Kroos. One thing is certain – Manchester United is desperately in need of a player like Kroos, and this performance against Arsenal in the Champions League is one more “pro” for Moyes to assure to buy him. And perhaps, this is Rio’s way of luring the German star to move to Old Trafford this summer…

  1. Manchester United wishes they could get a player like Kroos. No one wants to go play for Moyes and despite all the rumors about Kroos leaving I think he will ink a new deal with Bayern; if not I think he will go to another big club (not ManU). This guy is a monster! Can’t wait to see him in the World Cup.

  2. If Man U aspire to do well in the CL (and perhaps even win it) they need at least four players like Kroos.
Their biggest need is at defence. Man U desperately need to replace Ferdinand, Vidic, Smalling, Jones and Evra.
A minimum of US$ 350million is required to buy world-class players, to discard the dozen underperforming, aging and injury-prone anchors and most importantly – to hire Lucien Favre as the manager (as Moyes will not have a clue how to make a team out of this pool of talent).
In the meantime the Glazers are loosing hundreds of millions of dollars as their avarice has caught up to them and this pleases me greatly.
