In what has turned out to be a very exciting first half in the Arsenal vs Bayern Munich Champions League match, we have already had two penalties, two misses, and one red card. The match is still tied 0-0 at halftime, and Arsenal need to hold off down 10 men for 45 more minutes in order to earn an amazing 0-0 draw.

In the 8th minute of the match, Ozil was fouled by Boateng inside the box, and the referee awarded the penalty. Ozil took the shot, but Neuer made the great save. Here’s the GIF:

Things got worse for Arsenal in the 37th minute, as Szczesny was sent off for fouling Robben inside the box, and a penalty awarded.

Fabianksi had to come on instead of Cazorla. In shocking fashion, Alaba’s penalty shot ricocheted off the post, and Arsenal was saved. Here’s the GIF:

Now, Arsenal must survive for 45 more minutes, in order to earn a 0-0 draw that, considering the circumstances, would be a fantastic result.
