Delfines del Carmen will host Pumas at the Estadio Delfin at Ciudad Campeche on Thursday, January 16th at 7:00 PM PST.
Delfines del Carmen, small team looking for the win
Delfines del Carmen is a small team from the city of Ciudad del Carmen in the state of Campeche in the south of Mexico. They are one of the teams that belong to Ascenso MX league, and so far, prior to starting their participation in the Copa MX, they have had a draw and a loss in the Ascenso MX.
Jose Marroquin, coach of Delfines, has stated that his team will go out this Thursday to seek the win, although they are not a big team, they will behave as professionals and play for the win at home.
Pumas, looking for a win
Pumas has the same record as their Copa MX rival, one draw and a loss. Trejo has not been able to find the balance with the roster that he has, and the team appears at most times confused and the players look like they do not know what the intentions of the coach are.
Against Delfines, Pumas has a pretty good chance to try things and still come back with the three points. Considering that Delfines is a small team, Pumas should be able to get the win, however, no rival should be disregarded, Pumas has to go out and play with a good tactic and plenty of motivation from the players.
Prediction: Pumas will be able to get the win, but it won’t be easy. We might also get to see Dante Lopez and Lagos in action. I predict Pumas will defeat Delfines by a score of 2-0. Pumas needs this win badly, in order to start building some positive momentum for a season that has started off slowly.
TV Info: The match will be televised on ESPN Deportes.
