Wikipedia - stanmar

The PSG vs Monaco will take place this Sunday, September 22, 2013 (12:00 PM Pacific) at the Parc des Princes in Paris. This match is one of the most anticipated games of the year for the Ligue 1. PSG will be hosting the game against Monaco as these two teams will face off for the first time since 2010. In 2010 the circumstances were different as Monaco was fighting relegation. Now Monaco will step into this pitch looking to challenge PSG for the Ligue 1 title this season.

The defending champions PSG currently sit in 3rd place in the tables but are now getting in form after a disappointing start to the season. With a victory in this game they would leap frog two spots and move into the top spot. With Edison Cavani coming into the game in top form you know that PSG will be very dangerous in the pitch. These two clubs have brought an immense amount of interest back to the French league with their billionaire owners spending money on superstar players at will. PSG will look to keep attacking through Cavani and Ibrahimovic and hope that they can unlock a Monaco defense that has been solid through their 5 first games this season.

Monaco comes into this game in first place and will look to continue to stay at the top of the table. Radamel Falcao will be their point of emphasis in their attack along with the young James Rodriguez who is continuing to grow as a leader and player. This could be statement game for Monaco as they will be looking to show the world  that they are a ready to compete against the big clubs. They will be looking to continue riding momentum into this weeks match in order to find a victory and remain the class of the French League.

PSG vs Monaco Prediction

This match will be Monaco’s first real test to see what their big signings are capable of. Thus far Monaco has got off to an impressive start but big spenders PSG will look to take the top of table in what has now become the biggest rivalry in France. I will look to see Falcao and Riviere keep making an impact on the offense. I expect PSG to come out with some great ball movement and for them to keep using Ibrahomic, Lavezzi, and Cavani effectively up top. I believe the PSG vs Monaco game will end in a hard fought 2-2 draw.
