Manchester City vs AC Milan – Audi Cup 2013 Prediction and TV Schedule
Danny Botero | On 31, Jul 2013
The Manchester City vs AC Milan match for the semi-final of the Audi Cup 2013 will be played on Wednesday July 31, 2013 (9 AM Pacific) at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. The Audi Cup will feature Manchester City, AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Sao Paulo in a quick 2 day tournament. Although this is considered to be a friendly match this will be a good test for both managers to see where they stand with their respectable clubs.
Manchester City is entering a new phase as they have hired Manuel Pelligrini to coach this team in hopes of becoming Europe’s best team; this match will certainly give Pelligrini a good test. From the new signings that were brought to Manchester City the most intriguing has to be Jesus Navas. In tomorrow’s match against AC Milan we should see the impact that Navas will make for this club. He has incredible quickness and great ball control that make him a threat against any team; he will have a great impact on the offensive side of the ball besides being an undersized player. Sergio Aguero will not be playing in tomorrows match as they want to be cautious with his return from injury.
AC Milan is looking to build some momentum before entering this new season. After finishing 15 points behind Juventus last year they will look to get off to a quick start this season and this is the kind of match up that can spark their club prior to their season. Many were hoping that this would be Mario Balotelli’s return against his former club, but AC Milan has confirmed that he will not be available to play tomorrow. Balotelli recently began to train after having played in this year’s Confederations Cup in Brazil. The Italian club will be the underdog in this match but they are certainly talented enough to pull the upset. Look for Stephan El Shaarawy to make an impact for AC Milan.
Manchester City vs AC Milan – Prediction
The Manchester City vs AC Milan match will be interesting despite it being a friendly match. These are two high profile teams that have huge fan bases around the world. I believe that Manchester City will be too much to handle in this match and my gut tells me that new arrival Negredo will make the difference by scoring 2 goals in this game. I expect the Manchester City vs AC Milan score to be 2-1 in the favor of Manchester City.
